Puma Clyde Lux

October 20th, 2008 by Snkrman

The good ‘ol Puma Clyde is back but this the Lux model.

They’ve got rid of the suede and used a lovely premium leather, and a great nubuck finish to the Formstripe.

You can’t go wrong with a Puma Clyde….especially the Lux.

Puma Roma 68 - Italia

October 3rd, 2008 by Snkrman

Puma have recently released a original heritage version of the football terrace classic - The Roma.

The Roma 68 has a lower ankle collar, narrower toebox and made with a premium leather. Overall they look like they were designed & worn in the 1960’s

These are in the colours of the Italian football team and called surprizinly ‘Italia’

We feel the blue leaping cat on the toe bumper looks rubbish and is probably enough to put people off buying these. The white on black is OK, but overall it’s a poor design feature.

Puma Suede LS

September 30th, 2008 by Snkrman

Check out these Puma Suedes with a slick modern twist.

Puma normally save the rubber style heel units and high tech designs for the Mihara range, but here they’ve tweaked the humble old Suede….and it works really well!

September 25th, 2008 by Snkrman

Just following up on the Rob-L post yesterday, we decided that you’d probably like to see some of his previous work and especially the SoleHeaven “Pimp my Clyde”. This shoe was designed for SoleHeaven and was a centre piece at the London launch of the Puma x Rob-L Archipelago.

Yes, and before ask these were 100% handpainted and took well over 40hours to complete.

You can see more images and a full interview with Rob-L at www.soleheaven.com/custom-kicks

Puma Blaze of Glory - Sneaker Freaker

September 24th, 2008 by Snkrman

The Sneaker Freaker Blaze of Glory has inspired a couple of new releases from Puma.  They’re still calling it the Blaze of Glory, but one is Graffiti inspired and the other strangly on the Mexico 1968 olympics (Get over it Puma, it’s getting boring now) :-)

Puma Clyde

September 15th, 2008 by Snkrman

This has to be Puma’s most recognizable shoe. The suede basketball shoe was introduced in 1968, which eventually bore the name of New York Knicks basketball star Walt “Clyde” Frazier.

Over the years it has taken many forms and colourways. An example of this is the MTV Raps range. In recent years MTV have provided allsorts of designs with unusual textures & materials. Some shoes just couldn’t handle it, but the Clyde silhoutte has fully embraced each design with ease.

Below we have 4 Clyde’s to show you. Two are simple, standard colourways and the Two others were Inspired by the Poison Frogs of the rain forests. these Puma Clyde features a textured toebox, camouflage uppers and foil logo stamping.

This just shows the versatility of the Puma Clyde and the timelessness of the design….Long Live The Clyde!
