Puma Suede LS

September 30th, 2008 by Snkrman

Check out these Puma Suedes with a slick modern twist.

Puma normally save the rubber style heel units and high tech designs for the Mihara range, but here they’ve tweaked the humble old Suede….and it works really well!

Gravis continue to impress us with their great designs, premium materials and unbeliably low RRP.

The Helix is a low profile sneaker with a skate style silhoutte, phat tongue 2 tone brown suede/leather finish.

September 29th, 2008 by Snkrman

Whoops a daisy!…Image the nightmare. It’s a Sunday morning and you’ve offered to help out your grandma and paint her bathroom and BANG you’ve just dropped the paint pot all over your yourself and more importantly your sneakers! - After a few minutes of shouting obscenities you realise that your sneakers look pretty cool, and by freakish luck you’ve given yourself some hot new customs!

Well this is what we think happened to one of the design team at Vans…check out the below.

K-Swiss x Atmos Japan

September 28th, 2008 by Snkrman

K-Swiss have teamed up with the chaps at Atmos in Japan, and together they’ve produced a 6 piece collection….and it’s pretty good! :-)

In this post we are going to concentrate on, in our humble opinion the the best sneaker of the 6 designed, and that is the Rannel.

It’s a high tech looking runner, with a lush light grey elephant/safari skin upper. Its’s finished with a bright red and gold detailing which bring this shoe alive.  It’s got a hexalite style heel & toe cushioning system with gold midsole windows which looks dope man!

Check out the shots…

Adidas ZX consortium - Footpatrol

September 27th, 2008 by Snkrman

Everyone here and large portions of the UK sneaker community were worried when the world famous Footpatrol store in London’s Soho closed down. Many thought the credit crunch was in full flow and the writing was on the wall for many indie sneaker retailers…..but thankfully we were all wrong.

Adidas have shown much faith in Footpatrol and now they’ve collab’d with one of the ZX consortium range -Introducing - Adidas ZX 800 Footpatrol.

   Looking good boys!

Asics Gel Lyte 3 - Mita Metalics

September 27th, 2008 by Snkrman

Oh My God, wait til you see these Mita Japan Asics Gel Lyte releases, otherwise know as “Kirimomi Project” These are molten hot!

We’ve been trying to get out hands on them but not a chance. These were only released in Japan and we all know how nuts they are for sneakers over there.

The shoe is just a standard Gel Lyte 3 but the combination of metalics an polka dots have worked spelndidly well.  Lets hope theres a re-issue at some point soon!

Macbeth - Eliot

September 26th, 2008 by Snkrman

Macbeth are pretty new on the sneaker scene, those who read Sneaker Freaker will have seen their ad campaigns in the magazine. For those who don’t know they are a Australian brand which produce sneakers, Tee’s, hoodies and general apparel. They also have an extended family of sponsored Bands, Skate & Surf pro’s.

Their sneaker designs are pretty retro, they have simple low profile skate/surf look similar to Converse, Vans & PF Flyer’s.

We’ve picked out the Eliot to show you.

Reebok Pump Victory

September 25th, 2008 by Snkrman

This is for those 80’s kids out there, here’s a blast from the past for you - the Reebok Pump Victories are back!

I personally remember desperately wanting a pair of these when I was about 8 years old and my mum wouldn’t let me have them, she said because I was so skinny, my legs would look like golf clubs… The truth hurt, but she probably did me a favour!

Nice elephant print gray leather on the toe box. Super comfy nylon on the top of the toe box, no break in needed these are comfy out the box. Pump pump pump it up!

Yes, and before ask these were 100% handpainted and took well over 40hours to complete.

The Sneaker Freaker Blaze of Glory has inspired a couple of new releases from Puma.  They’re still calling it the Blaze of Glory, but one is Graffiti inspired and the other strangly on the Mexico 1968 olympics (Get over it Puma, it’s getting boring now) :-)
